Join us for an evening of seaside charm as you create your own sea glass bird shadow box, beautifully perched against a soft watercolor shoreline.  With twine - wrapped corks and shimmering sea glass, this piece captures the quiet magic of birds resting by the water's edge - a little story framed in coastal calm.

Whether you imagine a sweet family of birds, a romantic shoreline moment, or simply a peaceful beach scene, you'll design a keepsake that feels personal and timeless.

We'll guide you step-by-step as you paint your watercolor background, assemble your sea glass birds, and arrange your shadow box to bring your shoreline scene to life.  No two pieces will be alike - each one will carry your own creative breeze.

On Thursday, August 13th, join us for The Message — a heartfelt and intimate painting inspired by the very piece Resident Artist William Clinton used to propose to his wife. Featuring a rain-kissed window, glowing candlelight, and a simple yet powerful declaration of love, this painting captures the quiet magic of a life-changing moment.

William will guide you step by step as you recreate this meaningful scene filled with warmth, reflection, and romance. No experience needed! Bring your favorite drink, settle in, and let your creativity (and maybe your heart) shine through each brushstroke.

Art Week:  Outdoor Summer Camp at Waterloo Rec
Early Bird:  $60 per child using code EB15 (March 27 - July 31)
Recommended for ages 5-12

Get ready for a week of essy, creative fun at Art Week!

Held at the Waterloo Recreation Center, this outdoor camp is all about letting kids explore, experiment and create in ways we just can't do inside.  From splatter-style projects to hands-on painting and mixed media, each day is filled with colorful creativity and high-energy fun.

Dates:  August 17-21
Time:  3:00PM - 5:00PM daily
Location:  Waterloo Recreation Center

Throughout the week, campers will enjoy a variety of art activities, including:

• "Frisbee Art" (a camper favorite)
• Canvas painting
• Drawing and mixed media projects
• Open ended, hands-on art that encourages creativity and exploration

End-of-Week Celebration:
We wrap up the week by tie-dyeing Artist's Lounge t-shirts with a balloon fight!  Please send your child with swimming goggles for the final day.

This camp is perfect for kids who love to create, try new things and aren't afraid to get a little messy along the way.

Join us for another Unseen Canvas, where the finished painting stays a mystery until the very end!

You'll be guided step-by-step through the painting, but there's a catch - you won't see the example beforehand.  Just follow the verbal instructions, trust the process, and watch your mystery masterpiece come together!

The best part?  Seeing how everyone interpreted the same directions and revealing all of the finished paintings at the end.  No painting expereince is necessary - just bring your sense of adventure and be ready to have some fun!

Join us for an evening of reflection, remembrance, and creativity.

On Friday, September 11th, we will paint Never Forget — a powerful tribute featuring the New York City skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the beams of light rising into the night sky in honor of those we lost.

This meaningful piece was first painted in 2020 by Dale Pemberton and Resident Artist William Clinton, created as a way to remember, reflect, and honor the resilience of our nation and the memory of those affected by September 11th.

Creative Kids:  Fall Highland Cow Ceramics
Saturday, September 12th
4:00 - 6:00 PM

How cute is this little cow?

Join us for a special Creative Kids ceramic event where young artists will paint their very own Highland Cow!

We'll work together to bring our shaggy little cows to life, from their fluffy coats and big horns to their adorable faces.  Kids can use our example for inspiration or choose their own colors and get creative with their cow.

To finish them off, we'll add a small cluster of fall-colored flowers near one of the horns

Fall Highland Cow Ceramics - Adults
Saturday, September 12th, 4:00-6:00 PM
$30 per person - Ages 18+

Our adorable Highland Cow is ready for a fall makeover!

Join us for an afternoon of ceramic painting as William Clilnton guides you through creating your own fall Highland Cow.  You'll learn shading and highlighting techniques to bring out all of the texture and detail in its shaggy coat, horns, face and features.

Once painted, we'll add a small cluster of fall-colored florals near one horn for the perfect finishing touch.

Your Highland Cow doesn't have to look exactly like our example, either!  Chose your own flower colors to make yours uniquely yours.
